Karina Halff

After starting my specialization in oncology in 1986, I have worked at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (albeit with a short break). What is truly special about this hospital, is that it allows all its employees to further develop themselves. I managed to specialize in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing. My tasks are diverse and I am connected to several different specialisms. It is my ongoing challenge to improve care and further adjust it to all new oncological developments. The lines of communication here are short, and all employees are highly committed, which makes my job so inspiring: I feel like I can truly contribute to the care of all my patients.
