Frits Wittkamper

I have been working as a medical physicist at the Radiotherapy Department since 1990. Medical physicists are responsible for the physics and technology behind the treatment. My primary focus is on dosimetry (calculating the radiation) and quality assurance of the radiation machines. These checks help us deliver safe treatment every day. I am also part of several multidisciplinary treatment teams.

The continuous improvement of our treatment options using the latest technology to optimize our treatment is at the core of my work, and is important to me in my work as a medical physicist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute.
