As a radiation oncologist, I primarily concern myself with lung cancer treatment. My group of physicists and I focus on the great challenge of delivering radiotherapy to lung tumors that move as the patient breathes.

When preparing a radiation treatment plan we use several imaging modalities, and we are able to monitor the tumor behavior every day while delivering the treatment. This allows us to provide radiotherapy with exceptional quality.

By introducing new radiation techniques such as stereotactic radiotherapy, we are able to cure a high percentage of lung cancer patients while their condition is still in an early stage. Through clinical research, we try to ensure that a larger group of lung cancer patients can benefit from these latest techniques.
