I was born in 1951 in Poland. I was graduated as medical doctor at Warsaw University in 1995. Then I underwent 2 years of training in the department of pathology. I passed board exam in radiotherapy in 1983. In 1988 I defended Ph. D. thesis on radiotherapy of nodal disease in head and neck cancer. I undertook radiotherapy training in the following hospitals: Jules Bordet Institute in Brussels, M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Massachussets General Hospital in Boston, Mount Vernon Hospital in London and University Hospital in Uppsala. Since 1978 I have worked in the Department of Radiotherapy, Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center in Warsaw. I was a department head. I earned professor nomination in 2008. My main field of interest is radiotherapy of colorectal carcinoma. I published about 100 articles registered in the PubMed database. These articles have been quoted about 2500 times according to the google scholar database.
