Professor Vincenzo Valentini

Vincenzo Valentini is Professor of Radiation Oncology at the School of Medicine of the Università Cattolica S.Cuore of Rome and Director of Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Hematology at Policlinico Universitario A.Gemelli -IRCCS of Rome.

He focused his activity on the optimization of radiation treatments by using different imaging techniques for the definition of target volume delineation; the integration between radiotherapy and surgery and concomitant chemotherapy, especially in rectal, pancreas, stomach, H&N and GYN cancers. He is Chair of Real Word Data and Radiomics laboratories at Università Cattolica S.Cuore.

He is author of more than 350 publications in peer-reviewed journal and many review articles as well as book chapters. He is member of the Editorial Board of different Radiotherapy and Oncology Journals.

He was President of ESTRO in 2011-2014.
