I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2000. The small scale and the attention and time for patients is very pleasant. People are often tense before surgery. It is my job to ensure that they go into surgery well informed and relaxed and wake up afterwards calmly and without pain.

I also work as an intensivist. I can do a lot for patients and their families in this. For me, the Netherlands Cancer Institute stands for high-quality care with a human side.

Specialisation: the vulnerable patient.
