Wieteke Douwenga

Since 2021, I have been working as an anesthesiologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. I trained as an anesthesiologist at the LUMC, where I specialized in anesthesia in cardio-thoracic operations.

As an anesthesiologist, I am involved in the entire perioperative process around the patient. From the preoperative risk assessment to the care for the patient during surgery and afterwards in the recovery room or Intensive Care Unit. I do my utmost every day to make all this as safe and comfortable as possible for the patient.

At the Netherlands Cancer Institute, optimal care is provided with personal attention for each patient, which means that I enjoy working here.
