Fonnet Bleeker

Since 2017, I have been working as a clinical geneticist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. At my consultation hours I see people who have questions about the heredity of cancer in themselves or in the family. I think it is important to properly inform and guide people in genetic testing, so that they can make an informed choice. I discuss whether people really want to know whether there is heredity. Sometimes the results of genetic testing are important for the treatment of the patient.
