Peter Remeijer

Since 2002 I have been working as a clinical physicist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and during this period I have always been actively involved in the development of image-guided radiotherapy. Currently, as a clinical physicist, I am responsible for the implementation and development of adaptive image-guided radiotherapy, which monitors and possibly modifies anatomical changes throughout the patient's treatment. What particularly appeals to me about the Netherlands Cancer Institute is that thanks to the innovative nature of the hospital, the time between coming up with new, better radiation options and the actual application of such a new idea can be very short. This therefore contributes to better treatment of our patients.
