Sandrine de Winter
Since 2018 I have been working as a dermatologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. From 2004 I worked for 12 years as a general dermatologist in St Jansdal hospital in Harderwijk, where I also did a monthly consultation with the gynecologist.
Both patients with skin cancer and with side effects of treatments given for other types of cancer come to my consultation. Together with the gynaecologist and urologist, we treat patients with problems in the genital area.
Skin conditions can worry patients, especially in the case of (suspected) skin cancer or a troubled mole. Offering tools on how to deal with it is very important. I think it is very important to see "the patient IN the skin", the person with the condition that requires my help.
