Ludi Smeele

Since 2003 I have been working as a head and neck surgeon at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. With a team of specialists, including head and neck surgeons, radiation oncologists and oncologists, we look at the best treatment for head and neck cancer. We then discuss with the patient how this treatment can be used to combat the disease as effectively as possible. During aftercare, we try to pay a lot of attention to the side effects of the treatment and to rehabilitation. In doing so, we strive as much as possible to return to a level of functioning as it was before the treatment.
