Tim Schutte
I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2024 and specialize in the treatment of patients in early clinical trials. In these studies, we treat patients with new experimental drugs. The goal of many of these studies is to find a safe and proper dosage. These new drugs are, for example, new forms of immunotherapy or targeted drugs against tumor proteins.
I find my work inspiring because of the special conversations with patients I get to supervise, the ability to contribute to the development of new medicines, and the (international) collaboration with researchers from the lab, the hospital and pharmaceutical companies.
