Rose Leopold

Since 2019, I have been working as a medical social worker at the NKI. As relatives of a deceased cancer patient, I know what the impact of the disease can be. I take this experience with me in my guidance to the patients.

Together with my colleagues from the Center for Quality of Life, we make an important contribution every day in maintaining and recovering from cancer treatments. It is precisely the attention paid to the impact of the disease on the patient's mind and his environment that makes my work so interesting. A patient is more than his disease. We see the whole person.

I am pleased to see that my colleagues from the medical side are also aware of this. We all do it together and we strive for the most appropriate care for every patient.
