Emilia Owers

Since 2016 I have been working at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, a hospital where involvement and groundbreaking care are central. Within imaging, I use various scanning methods on a daily basis, such as PET and CT, but especially the challenging combinations of these techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy. My specific areas of interest are lung cancer, esophageal/stomach cancer and head and neck tumors. In addition, I am involved in the treatments with radioactive substances, especially in thyroid tumors and bone metastases.

As a trainer, I am responsible for transferring knowledge and practical skills to young doctors and students. I see this task as a privilege that encourages me to keep my own skills up to date and sharp.
