I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2013. As a nuclear medicine physician, I am involved in the diagnosis of almost all types of tumors and any metastases thereof. Some tumors can also be treated with radioactive substances. My areas of interest are gastrointestinal liver tumors and neuroendocrine tumors.
At the Netherlands Cancer Institute, the patient is really central and there is intensive cooperation between the various specialists with great dedication. In addition, a lot of scientific research is being done so that we are learning more and more about the behavior of the different types of tumors and the sensitivity to various forms of treatment. This allows the treatment to be better tailored to the situation of the individual patient. It is nice to be able to contribute to the latest developments as a specialist.
