Jolanda Bloos

Since 2013 I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute with a short absence between 2018-2020, where I am mainly involved in the care of patients with muscle-invasive and non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer and kidney cancer. Treatments for bladder cancer are often intensive and stressful for patients, especially if they also take place in a research context. Personal interaction with the patient is important to me to ensure that the treatment and intensive care around it runs smoothly. In addition, I would like to think along and discuss how recovery is going during and after treatment. Given my experience in caring for vulnerable elderly people, I am particularly interested in caring for the often somewhat older patient group.
