Wendy Wolters

In the past, I have worked at both the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) and the UMC Utrecht (UMCU). I have extensive oncology experience with different types of systemic therapy and have worked as a Nurse Specialist gastroenterology and liver oncology for the past few years. Since 2019 I have started as a Nurse Specialist Neuroendocrine Tumors (NET). I work at the NKI and the UMCU. Together, these hospitals form an "ENETS Centre of Excellence".

As a Nurse Specialist, I see it as my task to integrate medical and nursing care in order to optimally guide patients and loved ones, together with the multidisciplinary NET team, during this rare disease and the treatments for it. My goal is to put patients and their loved ones at ease as much as possible so that they know that they can come to me with their questions and concerns.
