Erienne de Cuba
Since September 2022, I have been working as a pathologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, after working for a period of more than 4 years in an independent pathology laboratory (Rotterdam). I was trained as a clinical pathologist at the VUmc in Amsterdam, where I also obtained my PhD.
During my PhD, my fascination started with the combination of regular tissue diagnostics with, among other things, detecting changes in the DNA of the tumor in order to eventually arrive at a 'tailor-made' treatment plan. One of the spearheads of the NKI. This makes the NKI a unique and very inspiring environment for me to continue to work with my colleagues on the development of innovative diagnostics and care for each individual patient.
