Tom van Wezel

Since 2019, I have been working in the Pathology department as a clinical molecular biologist (KMBP). In the pathology department, I am co-coordinator of molecular diagnostics and also trainer of the KMBP-in-training.

In molecular diagnostics, we work with an enthusiastic team to obtain, analyze and interpret molecular tumor data. Using the latest insights and techniques, this data is used to support both the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. We work in close collaboration with pathologists and applicants from the various disciplines, including in the molecular tumor board. As a biologist, I find solving genetic puzzles every day to improve patient care very special.
