Maike Stuurland-Ringma

Since 2020 I have been working as an edema physiotherapist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. In 2010 I graduated as an edema physiotherapist ad modum Casley Smith and in 2019 I graduated as a master oncology physiotherapist.

For more than 10 years I have worked in primary care, where I have guided people in all phases of cancer. Here I have already been able to work in a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary way with other healthcare providers, to make patient care more accessible, efficient and of better quality. This is also how people work at the NKI and this was a logical next step for me to be able to support people even closer.
