Frank Borm
Since 2018 I have been working as a pulmonologist with a focus on thoracic oncology. After working at the LUMC for six years, I made the switch to the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2024. Lung cancer, despite the progress made in recent years, remains a very serious disease. Patients often still have to deal with radical treatments, which do not always produce the desired result.
I think it is essential to inform and guide patients in an open, clear and realistic way. Together with the patient, I strive for a treatment plan that is not only in line with the latest scientific insights, but also fits the patient's wishes and situation. What particularly appeals to me in this field is the constant development. New treatments and insights follow each other in rapid succession, and I am happy to actively contribute to this progress for the benefit of my patients.
