Since September 2021, I have been working as a pulmonologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. I was trained as a pulmonologist at the RadboudUMC in Nijmegen and had previously done scientific research at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, where I obtained my PhD. During my training, I have seen up close what lung cancer does to patients and their environment. Fortunately, significant progress has been made in treatments in recent years, but we are far from there! At the Netherlands Cancer Institute, I hope to be able to contribute to both the care of patients with lung cancer and the further development of treatments.
