I have enjoyed working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2005. The atmosphere of the hospital and the multidisciplinary approach to problems, in which the patient is central, really appeal to me. I cover all aspects of lung oncology, but I am particularly interested in malignant mesotheliomas (asbestos cancer) and neuroendocrine tumors of the lung, also known as carcinoids. These are all rare tumors.

The fact that these diseases are under one roof benefits everyone: patients receive up-to-date treatment and we can conduct research and improve treatments. I am happy to commit myself to that.
