Abrahim Al-Mamgani
After working for 11 years at the Erasmus MC cancer institute, I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as a radiation oncologist since June 2014. I have dedicated myself to treating head and neck cancer.
The treatment of head and neck cancer is very complex and often comes with many side effects. That is why, in addition to patient care, I also do a lot of research to further optimize the treatment of head and neck cancer. My motto is "Less is More". The ultimate goal of my research line is to target radiation on the tumor and to spare the surrounding structures as much as possible, so that healing will be achieved with much less side effect and significantly better quality of life.
Working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute is characterized by close collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and an excellent infrastructure for developing new treatment methods and optimizing existing techniques.
