Francine Voncken
I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2007. First in training as a radiation oncologist and then as a medical specialist. I specialize in the treatment of patients with a tumor in the gastrointestinal tract. Together with my colleagues within the multidisciplinary team, I strive to provide top medical care on a daily basis. The patient is always central to this.
In addition to my clinical appointment, I also conduct research into esophageal cancer. For this I went to Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto (Canada) in 2011 and I am now conducting research at the NKI. The ultimate goal is to make the treatment of esophageal cancer increasingly tailor-made.
