Larry Horowitz

Forest en Sawgrass and Trees

Horowitz paints the American landscape in vivid colors in a subdued way. In his work we see forests, the coastline and village views in a tranquil atmosphere on which a sometimes single building or boat can be seen in the landscape. His work has a contemplative character. Horowitz says of his work that he has discovered in himself a synchronicity with nature that arises from his inner eye and that he wants to represent it in his work.

The work 'Forest' is a donation from internist oncologist Dr. Jan Schornagel on the occasion of his farewell to the Netherlands Cancer Institute.
