Spaarne Gasthuis
Our location in Hoofddorp is in the Spaarne Gasthuis. Here you can count on the same good care as in our department in Amsterdam. There are two radiation machines. These are linear accelerators. The doctors, lab technicians and other care providers work in Amsterdam and in Hoofddorp.
Directions by car
The Radiotherapy Department of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek is located at the rear of the Spaarne Hospital.
When you arrive, turn right at the blue sign. Drive down the bend and see the parking barriers.
Keep to the left barriers for the car park (visitors P). You will find us at the beginning of the parking lot behind the hospital.
You can enter the NKI through the revolving door. Then you will reach the reception through the sliding doors on the left . You can register here.

The Spaarne Gasthuis is located next to the bus station. Bus lines that stop in front of the door are:
Departure from Hoofddorp station
- Line 300 towards Haarlem: Station above Hoofddorp – Spaarne Gasthuis above Hoofddorp
- Line 401 in the direction of Bennebroek Anemonenplein: Station below Hoofddorp – Spaarne Gasthuis below Hoofddorp
- Line 340 towards Haarlem: Station below Hoofddorp – Spaarne Gasthuis below Hoofddorp
Departure from Haarlem station
- Line 300 in the direction of AMS Bijlmer Arena via airport: Station Haarlem – Spaarne Gasthuis above Hoofddorp
- Line 340 towards Uithoorn: Haarlem Station – Spaarne Gasthuis below Hoofddorp
Difference up and down Spaarne Gasthuis
- If you get off at Spaarne Gasthuis above Hoofddorp, you will arrive at the ground floor of the hospital (central hall).
- If you get off at Spaarne Gasthuis below Hoofddorp, the bus will arrive under the road (-1), then take the stairs/elevator up to enter the central hall.
Are you coming by bike?
You can park your bike to the right of the entrance.
Reception
From the stairs you walk through the sliding doors twice. You are now at the Radiotherapy Center of the Netherlands Cancer Institute. You can register at the counter in the back.
Please note: are you coming from the parking lot behind the hospital? You then enter the NKI through the revolving doors. Behind the sliding doors on the left you can report to the reception.
