Teska Schuurman
I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2017. Initially for the completion of my training and then as a gynecologist. This led to a fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology within the Centre for Gynaecological Oncology Amsterdam, which consists of the NKI and the Amsterdam UMC. Since the beginning of 2024, I have joined the team at the NKI as a gynaecological oncologist.
Together with my colleagues, I focus on the care of women with gynecological cancer. My areas of interest are vulvar cancer and its precancer. I combine patient care with scientific research. Among other things, I am committed to improving care for young adults with cancer, with specific attention to fertility-sparing treatments. The working atmosphere at the NKI is very pleasant, where everyone works together to provide the best possible care for the patient.
