Willemien van Driel

I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2004. My specialty is the treatment of patients with malignant tumors in the female reproductive organs, such as ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, and vulvar cancer. Treatment for these cancer types usually requires a multidisciplinary approach.

By working in a multidisciplinary team consisting of radiation therapists, medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and gynecologists, we can ensure that our patients receive precision medicine catered to their needs. We continuously search for new treatment protocols that are tested in the form of clinical trials. This allows us to continue to be a leading party in the development of new treatment types for gynecological cancer.
