Cecile Grootscholten

Since June 2012 I have been working as an internist-oncologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in the gastroenterology department of liver oncology. I think the most important and finest characteristic of the Netherlands Cancer Institute is the multidisciplinary approach to and care for the person. In addition, we jointly look for new treatments and possibilities for our patients. In addition to guiding and treating people with cancer of the gastrointestinal system, I also work in the Palliative Care Team (formerly Supportive Care Team). With this team of doctors and specialized nurses, we offer support to people in the palliative phase.
