Karen Bolhuis

Since 2022, I have been working as an internist-oncologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. I specialize in the care of patients with cancer of the gastrointestinal system and in particular colon cancer. In the years before, I did PhD research on improving the treatment of colorectal cancer with metastases to the liver.

Every day I work closely with an enthusiastic and skilled team of surgeons, radiotherapists, MDL doctors and specialized nurses to arrive at an optimal and personal treatment plan.

The expertise, the contribution to scientific research and the personal approach with time and attention for each patient make the Netherlands Cancer Institute unique for me.
