Marcel Soesan

I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since January 2019.

Before that, I also worked as an internist-oncologist in the adjacent Slotervaart hospital for a long time. We always worked very intensively with the Netherlands Cancer Institute and specialists sat back and forth at the joint patientmeetings every week.

After the bankruptcy of the Slotervaart, I 'restarted' at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and work there in the breast cancer team, where I feel very much at home. We are a driven team in which, in addition to patientcare as a common thread, a lot of scientific research is also carried out.

For me, it is a special experience to go from a very 'broad' specialist to a super-specialized oncologist. Together, we have an enormous amount of knowledge that can be quickly translated into advanced patient care. I am happy to be part of that.
