I am a clinical nurse specialist in the field of gastrointestinal oncology. One of the strengths of our team is the ease of communication in our teams.

As a clinical nurse specialist, you can work from a nursing and a medical perspective. It's a great mix! Next to my work in the clinic with patients treated with chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, I work in the hereditary stomach cancer team. I also specialize in geriatric oncology, which concerns cancer patients who are over 70 years old. I am the head of Gerionne (Geriatric Oncology in the Netherlands). Our goal at the NKI is to offer all our patients high-quality care. Besides the quantity of life, a patient's quality of life is very important.

Through a personal approach and genuine attention, I try to help my patients and meet their individual needs.
