Jolien van Kesteren

Since 2018, I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as a nurse specialist in urology. Before this, I worked as an oncology nurse in urology in the nursing ward and day treatment department of the OLVG. As a nurse specialist, I am part of a multidisciplinary team and I think it is important that we offer the best tailor-made treatment. I treat and guide patients through different phases of their disease and my focus is on prostate cancer, the early diagnosis of prostate cancer and penile cancer. It is important to me that the patient is central to the entire process. I am also intensively involved in innovation processes in healthcare and an active member of the Prostate Cancer Network Netherlands (PKNW).
