Lisette Saveur
After working in an academic center for a long time, I have been working as a nurse specialist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) since 2010. My areas of interest are hereditary gastrointestinal tumors (including Lynch Syndrome), and neuroendocrine tumors. I am part of the multidisciplinary treatment teams that deal with this.
In my work as a nurse specialist, I deal with patients who are in a screening program to prevent cancer, or to detect cancer early. I am also part of the multidisciplinary NET team that treats patients with a rare form of cancer, a neuroendocrine tumor.
Working at the NKI means top care in an environment with short lines of communication. As a nurse specialist, I am involved in the integration of medical and nursing care. Sincere attention, time in combination with up-to-date professional knowledge, that is what I strive for.
