Tjomme de Graas

Originally I work as a specialist in geriatric medicine, I started specializing in palliative care in the year 2000. Since 2014, I have been working with two nurses in the Supportive Care Team within the Netherlands Cancer Institute.

What I like about my work at the Netherlands Cancer Institute is that high-quality care is offered to all those involved. The quality of life is central to this, even if a cure is no longer possible. The Supportive Care Team can work with the patient to make a plan to solve complaints and problems as well as possible.
