My expertise is 'hormone specialist' for contraception and hormone supplementation after menopause. In the business world I worked on the development of hormones/hormone schedules for women after (surgical) menopause. As part of the project 'the aging woman', I have had menopause consultations at the VUmc since 1990 and guided women with (non)-hormonal treatments. Later this was expanded to include the consultation hour 'familial tumors gynaecology'. Within the CGOA partnership, I also started holding this consultation hour at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek and Amsterdam Medical Center (AMC). I'm not a gynecologist. I like the fact that at the Netherlands Cancer Institute I can also contribute to the quality of life for women who are going through menopause after chemotherapy with my special area of interest: familial tumors, gynecology and endocrinological gynecology.
