At the Netherlands Cancer Institute, as a plastic surgeon, I only perform reconstructive procedures. These are patients who are already being treated oncologically or preventively or have been treated by another specialty within the Netherlands Cancer Institute.

These reconstructions are performed by the oncological surgeon immediately after surgery or only after the recovery from oncological treatment. We look for the best possible balance between a quick recovery, and a good quality of life afterwards.
