Sanne Schagen

I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) since 1996. I do both clinical work and research in the field of cognitive consequences of cancer and cancer treatments. Using neuropsychological research, imaging and animal experimental studies, we look at the presence and causes of cognitive problems (such as memory and concentration problems) in different tumor types and treatments.

In addition, we investigate how we can reduce these cognitive complaints and how patients can best deal with them in daily life.
