Femke Peters

I started working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in May 2019. I specialize in gastrointestinal cancer treatment.

Besides my clinical work, I conduct research into rectal cancer treatment, especially organ-sparing treatment: research into ways of treating rectal cancer without surgically removing the entire rectum, which allows us to preserve the best quality of life possible.

It is important for me to find the most suitable treatment together with my patient and the treatment team. This is my goal, in the clinic and in my research.
