Lisa Klompenhouwer

Since October 2015, I have been working as a radiologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, where I have been given the opportunity to specialize as an interventional radiologist. As an interventional radiologist, I deal with minimally invasive image-guided procedures. These procedures involve operating as little as possible within the body. The treatment is performed through small puncture holes in the skin, using an ultrasound, X-ray or CT scan. We use this treatment method for local treatment of metastases in the liver or taking a biopsy to make the diagnosis. My areas of interest are abdominal radiology and breast radiology.
