Since 2022 I have been working as a speech therapist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. I treat people who have problems with speaking, swallowing, voice, language or hearing as a result of a tumor or the treatment of a tumor. Speech therapy treatment focuses on remedying or reducing the problems and improving the quality of life. It is satisfying to guide people as well as possible during and after their treatment, in the clinic and at the outpatient clinic. To achieve this, we work very closely with the entire head and neck team. The patient is always central.
