Hans Trum

Since 2010 I have been working at both the NKI and the Amsterdam UMC, which is jointly part of the Center for Gynaecological Oncology Amsterdam. I am mainly involved in minimally invasive surgery: 'major operations through small holes'.

In the development of this laparoscopic surgery, the most important thing is that the method must be as effective as the 'open abdominal surgery', but less stressful for the patient. Recovery after surgery is smoother and the quality of life is better. The multidisciplinary approach and participation in ongoing research means that the care we provide is always tailor-made and of high quality.
