Mariëlle Oosterveer

Since April 2022, I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as a nurse specialist in urology. Previously, I worked as a nurse specialist in the Alrijne hospital in the department of Gastroenterology, Liver and Liver Diseases within the Colon Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Deeases and Irritable Bowel Care. I feel at home in the enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced team at the NKI, which strives for the best care and treatment. What appeals to me is the involvement in the entire process of diagnosis, treatment and aftercare. My focus is on bladder cancer and kidney cancer.

The multidisciplinary approach, the patient-friendly atmosphere and the progressive scientific research make me enjoy and proudly go to work every day! I hope that, despite the often heavy burden of disease for the patient, I can contribute to alleviating this.
