Hester Oldenburg

I started working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 1999. Since then, I have almost exclusively been involved in the treatment of breast cancer patients. These treatments involve so much more than just a successful surgery. I aim to properly inform and support every single one of my patients.

I also train clinical nurse specialists in breast health and am involved in projects concerning the psychosocial aftercare of breast cancer patients. Even in my social work, I mainly focus on fighting the (side) effects of breast cancer treatment.
