DNA replication at the heart of cell fate decisions and cancer development

20 nov. 2024 09:00 - 21 nov. 2024 15:30

DNA replication is essential for cell fate. It affects chromatin regulation, changes in cell fate and the process of malignant transformation. On 20-21 November 2024 the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) organize a meeting that will discuss novel fundamental insights how genome stability is normally maintained, how this can go awry and how this can be used for improvements in human health. These concepts are the basis of the EU Doctoral Network Replifate (replifate.eu) that will participate in this meeting. This community covers a range of expertise from early embryonic development to biochemistry, structural biology, mouse models and replication genomics, as well as drug discovery.

Here, we want to integrate the excellent international Replifate community with the Dutch replication research environment, in order to promote novel interactions. Renowned speakers from the Replifate community are willing to stay to interact with the local community. They will be mixed with national speakers with complementary expertise. Participants will be encouraged to actively participate into high-class interactions by poster and short talk opportunities and ample discussion time during the breaks and the poster session.

Opportunities for short talks (abstract deadline September 10) and a limited number of posters (first come, first choice). Please mail abstracts to t.sixma@nki.nl with ‘Abstract replication meeting’ in subject.
